My first Trade Tuesday article was on June 2nd, prior to the 2026 NFL season. We just finished Week 5 and have our attention set on Week 6. With nine dynasty trade articles in the Faux Football archives, it's time to revisit some of the best and worst calls. These dynasty stances can still change throughout the season and even into the offseason, but if you capitalized on the right dynasty trade, it’s worth celebrating. And if those trades didn’t work out, I have a special filing cabinet for those responses.

✅ — The RIGHT call

❌ — The WRONG call

Pat Freiermuth Rejects Rumors of Steelers' Locker Room Issues: 'Everything is Good' - Yahoo Sports

📈 BULLISH

✅ Pat Freiermuth (TE) - PIT

Trade Tuesday #08 - September 15th

KTC dynasty rank as of the above article date ↔️ TE-33

KTC dynasty rank as of this article date ↔️ TE-27

Fantasy points per game rank through Week 5 ↔️ TE-10

Freiermuth is fresh off his best fantasy week of the season, scoring two of his four touchdowns through Week 5. This is what I envisioned for Freiermuth heading into 2026, with a new playcaller who isn’t Arthur Smith and no more Jonnu Smith. Per KTC, his dynasty value hasn’t shifted dramatically since my “Bullish” call. But Freiermuth clearly has Aaron Rodgers's trust, and his red zone involvement is critical to his fantasy output.

Revisiting Trades (September 15th)

➕ To BUY:

Pat Freiermuth ↔️ ‘27 3rd

  • This remains a good deal, if you can still get it.

Pat Freiermuth + ‘27 2nd ↔️ Juwan Johnson + ‘28 3rd

  • I would still prefer the Freiermuth side because of the better pick.

➖ To SELL:

Pat Freiermuth + Darren Waller ↔️ ‘27 2nd

  • I stand by this one too.

Pat Freiermuth + Chuba Hubbard + Woody Marks ↔️ Dalton Kincaid + Josh Jacobs

  • This is the first trade in this article that I would actually like to change my stance on; give me Freiermuth and the running backs.

❌ Ladd McConkey (WR) - LAC

Trade Tuesday #04 - June 30th

KTC dynasty rank as of the above article date ↔️ WR-15

KTC dynasty rank as of this article date ↔️ WR-24

Fantasy points per game rank through Week 5 ↔️ WR-49

Everything went wrong for the Chargers’ offense, but before the injuries hit, it was truly a head-scratcher. The Chargers started the season with what should’ve been an easy schedule, but at 0-5, they now face an even tougher stretch. During this stretch, McConkey put up a WR-12 fantasy performance in Week 1, then finished outside the top 40 for the rest of the season. McConkey has battled injuries, but the offense's falloff is alarming. I trust they can right the ship and McConkey’s dynasty value will recover, but it looks grim for now.

Revisiting Trades (June 30th)

➕ To BUY:

Ladd McConkey ←→ ‘26 1.07

  • McConkey and the Chargers’ offense have been dreadful, but I would still do this trade.

Ladd McConkey ←→ Michael Wilson + ‘27 2nd + ‘28 5th

  • I changed my stance on this one, and that’s even before Marvin Harrison Jr. was traded to the Texans. Michael Wilson is the truth, and his target share is ridiculous.

➖ To SELL:

Ladd McConkey ←→ Jaylen Waddle + ‘27 1st + ‘27 3rd

  • I would definitely still do this. Even with shaky play from the Broncos’ offense, the ‘27 1st is too much to pass up.

Ladd McConkey + Chris Rodriguez + Theo Johnson ←→ Drake London

  • This one still works for me, especially once we saw that Michael Penix could revive Drake London after the Tua Tagovailoa experience.
